Kennedy Dental is proud to offer a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and achieve a smile you can be proud of. Dr. Kennedy has seen great results from Invisalign and can help you make the determination of whether it is right for you.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign combines the use of computer aided design (CAD), Dr. Kennedy’s skill, and the basic orthodontic principles to produce a great looking smile. Dr. Kennedy will design a treatment plan that will be covered over a series of small steps.
At each step, a custom aligner is made for your mouth and is worn for about two weeks. These aligners will make small corrections to the position of your teeth. As you make progress, a new aligner will introduce another correction. Eventually, your teeth will be straightened to their final position.
Typically, this plan can take anywhere from 6 months to over a year. Both Dr. Kennedy and his patients have seen wonderful results without having traditional braces.
While determining the cost of your Invisalign treatment is highly individualized, The average cost ranges from as little as $2,500 to $6,000.
Benefits of Invisalign:
- The Invisalign aligners are practically clear. You can wear them throughout the day and not have metal wires showing when smiling.
- The aligners are removable. Unlike braces, you have the flexibility to remove the aligners when you eat or drink something that might be difficult with braces. It also makes it easy to brush and floss as you normal would for fresh breath and good oral hygiene.
- Less time during adjustment appointments. Because there are no wires or brackets, appointments are quick and Dr. Kennedy quickly can check progress and make sure that everything is right on track.
- Finally, the Invisalign treatment plan lets you view your virtual results and treatment plan prior to getting started, so that you know what to expect.
Invisalign vs. Braces
Most of our patients come to us looking for an alternative to braces. The simple truth is that in some cases, braces will be the better choice. However, Dr. Kennedy has seen many cases where the inconvenience of braces can be avoided.
In fact, this is the reason that Dr. Kennedy introduced Invisalign to his practice. For the cases when minor to even moderate correction is necessary Invisalign works perfectly.
